Delayed Cebu Pacific Passenger In Bacolod Requests For Chicken Inasal Instead of Jollibee

SILAY CITY, Philippines - Due to the disturbance in the weather caused by Typhoon "Butchoy", Cebu Pacific flights were delayed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport as well as at the New Bacolod-Silay Airport.  Flight 5J 488 bound for Manila was scheduled to leave Silay City at 1:55pm but eventually left at 6:25pm.

One passenger on that delayed flight was hoping that Cebu Pacific would serve for a change, Bacolod City's famed Chicken Inasal from Chicken House in Silay, instead of the usual ChickenJoy from Jollibee.  In a "check-in" status message at the Bacolod Silay Airport location on Facebook, the passenger hinted, "
I think Cebu Pacific is now making arrangements to serve Chicken House Inasal from Chicken House Silay for delayed passengers of flight 5J 488. Wooohooo!".

Unlike other passengers who were ranting on social media about the 4.5 hour delay, the passenger was more appreciative of Cebu Pac's efforts and mentioned that, "Cebu Pacific did a great job in handling the situation.  It was force majeure so we do understand.  They served us cup noodles and bottled water after waiting 2 hours.  I was just hoping that in order that the Negros Island experience would be complete, instead of serving the usual Jollibee,  Cebu Pacific could serve Chicken Inasal.  Nice, 'di ba? (isn't it?)"

away their time on social media after flights
were delayed due to Typhoon Butchoy.

The delayed passenger continued to say, "Chicken House Silay is just down the road and I'm confident they could come up with a packed inasal meal with garlic rice for stranded passengers."

Surely the Cebu Pacific marketing team could also latch on this by bringing in bloggers and vloggers to document the event just as they did with the Dancing Flight Attendants viral video.  Then they could title it, "Chicken Inasal for every Juan".
