El Talonggo is the first and probably the only online magazine dedicated to the Tagalog-Ilonggo.
There are quite a number of us who were actually born in Luzon with parents coming from Iloilo or Negros Island, but through the years have been cris-crossing the Islands, at one point growing up in Manila, then moving back to Negros, studying in Iloilo, then going back to Manila. Being Talonggo is quite a sub-culture of its own. There is a mindset that is embedded in provincial life while active and adaptive to the frenetic pace of the big city.
I invite you, reader, to explore the world of the Talonggo. So much is written in this blog about Culture, People, Places, and quirks which some of you may relate to being Ilonggos/Negrenses.
